Decided to stop in on the way to take the kids sledding as it was one of the only places open. The guy in charge was incredibly kind and was explaining he only opened because his staff wanted to and felt safe to come in. He said if his staff was uncomfortable with the commute or couldn't make it, he would have just stayed closed. I will go out of my way to get coffee here, from someone who values his team and their safety. I recommend this coffee shop because the coffee is delicious and they care about people.

Me and a buddy stopped in for coffee and the owner of the shop overheard heard a conversation about wanting to try the beans. He then brought us a cup of the coffee we wanted to try and chatted for a while about the different espresso they have and enjoy. Next thing we know is he brought another cup with espresso we were talking about. Great guy will definitely be stopping in more often for conversation and amazing coffee!

We’re traveling and decided to stop by for coffee—so glad we did! The owner (I believe) kindly surprised my wife and me with free coffee drinks. Such a thoughtful gesture! The coffee was delicious, and the hospitality truly made our trip even more memorable. Highly recommended!

Filtered was truly a gem. I had their matcha with strawberry (if I recall correctly), and it was so good that I genuinely considered driving an hour just to have it again. Even though I usually avoid coffee, I did try a sip of my friend’s drink—and it was excellent. You can tell they know what they’re doing. It turns out they’ve even won awards for their coffee, and I can absolutely see why. The café is located in downtown McKinney, which made the experience even better—after enjoying our drinks, we got to walk around and explore the charming area. Overall, it was a fantastic spot for both quality drinks and atmosphere.

My daughter and I went today. The best service. Very nice friendly staff. We got our coffee on the house because we were new!!❤️❤️👏👏. Love the vibes and service. The coffee was delicious 😋 😋 definitely recommend to everyone. We will definitely be coming back!!

★★★★★ Exceptional Pour Over Experience with the "Lumen" I just visited Filtered Coffee under its new ownership and was thoroughly impressed by my experience. I tried their “Lumen" pour-over, a single-origin Colombian coffee with tasting notes of guava, cheesecake, Golden Delicious apple, and pear**. The flavor profile was bright, and beautifully balanced. The fruity sweetness of guava and pear shone through, followed by a subtle note of cheesecake. The barista Ally, clearly took care in the preparation, making it a truly enjoyable cup. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the new ownership seems dedicated to quality and craft. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their offerings! **Highly recommend** to any coffee lovers in the McKinney area looking for a specialty brew done right.

The veggie quiche was simply divine! I absolutely adore the coffee beans they used; the cappuccino was a classic delight. Shop Looks small from the outside, but it’s surprisingly spacious and offers ample seating options, including chairs and sofas. The baristas are also supe cute. 💕

I LOVE a place that properly does their cortado. I got the house espresso which is a more chocolate flavor. Very smoothe. Came with the little cup of sparkling water to cleanse your pallet. The workers were all so so nice too. I loved it. I love some kind souls and some good coffee.

First time visiting after remodeling. We absolutely loved the renovated store. Had an Iced earlgrey+lavender latter and fell in love with it. Sweet (but not too sweet) and aromatic flavor! They are located in heart of Mckinney downtown and that is a "huge" plus! It is absolutely a must stop when visiting downtown of Mckinney. Will definitely come back over and over!

Most of the reviews are about the espresso-based drinks, but this place is a specialty pour-over gem. They have a great bean selection from around the states and the world. Some selections were from Sey, La Cabra, and DAK (Netherlands). I bought a geisha from Sey. The pour-over I ordered was also very nicely brewed, a very clean cup.
